Jeez sorry to hear that. Great gig though.
Oh yeah, I can listen to it now without flinching - but it wasn' t a great day.
It's difficult to convince people that Aswad were once a really good band - that album marked the end of a great run of albums.

I'm not a particular fan of live albums and those I own are already listed. One I really like that isn't is Crosby Nash Live 1977. There is something really immediate about it that makes it stand out for me. You can really hear just how good those musicians were.

Grand Funk - Live Album;

Tangerine Dream - Ricochet, Encore, Live in Poland;

Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous;

Mountain - Live!

Ted Nugent - Double Live Gonzo!

Deep Purple - Made in Japan & Made in Europe;

Yes - Yessongs;

Led Zepp - The Song Remains the Same;

Miles Davis - At the Blackhawk;

The Who - Live at Leeds

Badger - One Live Badger

Recorded while supporting Yes on the Close To The Edge Tour and with the same equipment used to record Yes for the forthcoming Yessongs triple album.

It is the only available recorded output of this incarnation of the band before they went "white soul" after a collaboration with Jackie Lomax and released album Badger/White Lady which is very different.

Its proggy (yes there are synthesisers and trons thereon) and fresh sounding without the usual prog pretentiousness. I never tire of it. Partly because I was there at the time in 1972 and it was my first ever rock concert, partly because it is so good and partly because the lyrics are so positive.

Indeed. One of my favorite albums! And has been used several times to confuse people.... hardly anyone knows of it

And then Yessongs - with my personal favorite version of Close to the Edge - I think much better than the studio album -which seems a bit sparse by comparison

Made in Japan - classic live

And Rainbow On Stage - cant' beat a bit of Man on the Silver Mountain to wake up the neighbourhood!
