In summary, for distance selling to consumers (not businesses):
* The buyer usually has a right to cancel even if goods are not faulty.
* The seller usually has to refund the ‘basic postage’ costs of sending goods to the buyer, as well as the purchase price.
* If goods are not faulty, buyer may have to pay return postage but, if so, this must be clearly stated in seller’s Ts & Cs.
