I found that the suction was still a bit too fierce, even with the slide open, Moppit, and as the Karcher seems to work, I didn't pursue the matter with the Vax; the Karcher's also much smaller, which is the main reason why I'm reluctant to invest in an RCM.
Unless I clean my records in the shed, of course.

Surely you've seen the Karcher patio cleaning attachment? Circular and perfect size for an LP...

My next upgrade...
