Cassettes? Seriously?

Yep, and simple minds and a few others. Think there was an Aztec camera out take as well. I’ll console myself with the hopeful thought that if I’d kept them they’d all have deteriorated and be unplayable ….

Tapes? Happy days! I used to buy vinyl, record it onto tape and then sell the vinyl to second hand record shops. It was more convenient to me to have the tapes and I didn't feel bad about 'stealing' the music since I'd bought the album in the first place.

In the late 90s I came across a big box of LPs at a garage sale that had been played once to record to cassette , then stored. Loads of stuff I liked at 50c each.

I like tapes, and dare I say it, some rock music sounds better recorded a bit hot on tape.

Someone came up with a Bluetooth walkman, which you can buy with a crummy foam-pad headset.
How does that sound?

£150 looks the part and has a record function. The Bluetooth connectivity makes sense to me too - the people buying this won't be hooking it up to their £20k Naim rig.

It's a gimmick for people to play with and enjoy.

But £57 for their pack of ten ferric C60s... wowser!
