Isn’t the problem that economic migrants move between areas of unequal economic prospects. Do we need some global ‘levelling up’?
Yes, you hit the nail on the head. But then if there were not unequal economic prospects they would not be migrants. I was just thinking about where racism and snobbery "cross over" and/or overlap. After all there is little "racism" among the very rich. So maybe it boils down to reciprocal fear among the less rich, which focuses on cultural and/or religious diversity.
