I thought Blair Witch was really haunting, especially that ending where the camera lurks above. A true classic.

Off topic, but I saw The Blair Witch Project at the cinema and it was the first film I had seen for years that gave me the shivers. I agree, a classic.
Since seeing Blair Witch once, and it freaking me, I have never wanted to see it again as that viewing was perfect.

As for the Alien series, I loved them from the start. My artist best mate was very into
H.R. Giger (he had an album with an H.R.Giger poster with it, very very rude, I can’t remember the band, summat like The Swans/Butts/Sonic Youth probably) so I knew a bit about the artist.
As someone else said, my The Wife hate the Alien films, and I have seen the early ones a few times and enjoyed them. Not seen one for decades, but would happily watch the first couple

I watched Alien 3 the other day after reading this thread to refresh my memory of it. It really is quite poor.

I need to watch the extended version as you say this is the better one to watch. I’ll download it and give it a go.
