Try "Nanny State" by Brewdog. Nice 'n' hoppy this is by far the closest an NA has come IMO to the real thing without the booze.

Thanks, will give it a go. I'm also quite partial to 'Small beer' by Quantum (a local craft Brewer) which is, IIRC around 3%, so it's not impossible, just uncommon, to find low strength brews with a satisfying taste.

But, I don't like the effect of alcohol. If I could get all the taste, without the alcohol, I'd be delighted. Sadly, the alcohol seems to be an integral, and vital, part of the taste, as the 'non-alcoholic' brews quite clearly prove.

I have to say I'm really impressed by Guinness mid-strength. I haven't done a side-by-side comparison, but I almost can't tell it's not the real thing, and it's only 2.8%. I need to seek out the Tolly and see how that stacks up.
