We will do well to get third place in the only group where all teams have won the trophy before (and 16 times at that). Good for the Celtic away games though; Amsterdam, Milan and Barcelona

Celtic managed to beat Barcelona last year. I doubt any of the 3 other clubs will have a comfortable evening in Glasgow. I guess it will also depend on whether Celtic can nick something in any of the away legs. A great adventure for the fans regardless.

Disappointing not to see JT donning a red shirt & collecting the trophy last night.

Yeah Terry jinxed it by coming on for 8 mins and getting his kit dirty.
I see the special one said it's all a big Uefa conspiracy and the better team lost. This should never have been a sending off apparently.

It wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea bought Kaka in a last minute deal.

Ramires should never have been sent off and Chelsea were the better team ... except for Lukaku.

Well done Liverpool, they did what they had to. Utd lacked the urgency or quality needed to get a breakthrough. Plenty of possession but the build up each time was just too cautious.

Forecast Panel points - Sun at 1800 hours - pil-5, me-3, Lawro-5. Well played pil, Lawro's days are numbered.

Pressure starts now for Moyes - from inside the dressing room as well as the usual fans/media...

Chelsea still haven't found a world class striker to replace iffy Torres.

Rooney wouldn't have done the job properly, so it was a waste of time chasing him.

Eto'o used to be a world class striker a few years back with the Barcelona midfield feeding him. It'll be interesting to see what he can still do. Still, for him it must now be more attractive than selling nuts.

I was surprised by Chelsea's purchases. I expected them to do more. Still not sure why he bought Willan & why, apparently, he'd have been happy to see his best player leave.

After a successful second half to our campaign, we had high hopes for next season depending on a successful transfer window. Without question this has been a very good transfer window for Liverpool. BR already talking of buying forwards in the Jan window.... I'm just hoping for a ECL position

Interesting late defensive signings, I know very little about either. So far, I have not been convinced by Aspas despite some positive commentary from the pundits. I just don't think he has more than 5 league goals in him, when we need someone who can get 15+.

Aspas looks like a nuisance of a player to me... makes his own look... hated seeing the card waving post foul though... not done overhere
