What's the best thing to clean price label gunge from a matt record sleeve?

Lighter petrol is the standard tool. Works perfectly about nine times out of ten. For getting intact labels off a heat gun can be very useful.

Baby wipes/the ones with baby oil are brilliant for cleaning anything stainless steel in ones kitchen and home.
Also great for LP12 top plates.
