Audiophile Network Switches for Streaming ... really ?

100 pages and I still don't understand this thread or the mystique about the switch which "isn't about the switch"

Wat
Try listening with and without a properly installed switch. All will become clear. You can learn only so much fron an exchange on an internet forum, and precious little from the 100 pages here.

Tricks to reduce that elusive ethernet noise:

AN-1862 Reducing Radiated Emissions in Ethernet 10/100 LAN Applications
Application Report SNLA107A–June 2008–Revised April 2013
https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snla107a/snla107a.pdf

A report from 2008 detailing measures to be taken to reduce RFI in Ethernet networks and related devices- to meet regulatory requirements already in force at that time !!

We now live in 2023 !!!

Yet more random straws being flung about in the hope of meeting some mud to stick to.
Cor blimey and love a duck - what a farce.

Love your binary world... Black or white?

Lots of lollies in the TI website...

Effects of Clock Noise on High-Speed DAC Performance
https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa566/slaa566.pdf?ts=1674808377208
So, the premise is that the ethernet noise on the power rails impact the clock to effect the output of the DAC?

That paper looks at the impact of clock noise, but nowhere does it say, and you've not offered any other papers that the DAC in someone's streamer can be impacted with the clock noise or impacted with the noise on the PSU lines.

Great papers and all, but you need to apply them to what has been talked about here.

Have you thought about names yet for it?

Crystal legacy quantum ethernet RFI nullifier
RFI diluting active IP demagnetisation brain
Audiocentric Ry Cooder filter
Zero lag last definition end game foo block
Yet another overpriced piece of audio equipment

thank, that’s very kind of you
It would be much more useful and enlightening to talk to the papers you post rather than just posting them. At the moment it looks like you are grabbing at straws because something turned up in a Google search.

If you can make a thing that further reduces noise on ethernet then hats off to you.

Isn't that what the EtherREGEN's set out to do?
