Finally got around to trying this out today... the results are not subtle! Everything seems to have crisped up, more bass, just sounds faster and more engaging.

Amaneros are all good. As an alternative the new nanodigi from minidsp offers USB to i2s functionality in XMOS with the added bonus of dsp/crossover capability. I've not tested the USB streaming yet, maybe someone else has?

Wouldn't like to comment on the material but the small boxes are going to just be LCR combinations to get closer to the spec for a given length. Heard it demoed at Bristol on Sunday and wasn't a standout especially at the price. Focal Sopra 2s on the other hand... Tim
