    Tannoy Monitor Golds

Joel might be able to help with the scans, but in an issue of Japan's Stereo Sound last year, they featured the bloke who managed to fit a pair of Autographs in the "front" corners, a pair of JBL Hartsfields in the back and a pair of Linn Akurate floorstanders on the width of his 30 sq.m room...

    Cool Sansui Speakers

Like many Japanese audio manufacturers, Sansui was totally bipolar during the 70s and 80s, making gems for the Asian and German market whilst churning unadulterated crap for the North American and to a lesser extent, the UK market. Beware of those 12 or 15" "woofers", in most likelihood they...

    JBL L65 Jubal

imho, 44XX tends to need less dsp than 43XX, but note that they are designed to sound "time aligned" with your ears btwn the horns and the boomer or 10 degrees below that, above that point, there is a massive suckout at the x-over junction... and they intended it to be a floorstander??? if...

indeed, Pete townsend used 8 of these for mixing quardophenia and gone deaf soon afterwards ;) these are indeed awesome speakers but judicious pairing with "proper" amps is a necessity..

    Luxman spares

fyi, Luxman Japan is actually rather helpful and DO support many of its products, my L530 was made in 83 and they are still able to service and support it. www.luxman.co.jp

    Luxman L45A..

You have the makings of a fine system! In Japan, during the mid 70s to probably now, Lux. users have always mated their gear with Tannoy DCs or Rogers Studio monitors. As for digital, current Marantz or Arcam. And remember to stick with copper cables - avoid silver stuff! Happy listening!

    Blue Note Vinyl Reissues

Hi Borellus, I know about MM, I got their Night in Tunisia, it's really great, and had it been a few years back I would have ordered everything they issue, but I guess I am more into BN's modal or borderline-avant garde stuff these days.

Can anyone help with a parts list?

Hi all, I am seeking info/parts list to create a Passive Line Matching Transformer-Attenuator between my cdp with Highish output level/impedance and my vintage Luxman class A amp and was wondering if a kind soul here could assist. There is a Tango transfo reseller nearby and they have...
