The Dual 701 can be very good value for a decent direct drive. Especially if you can find one in the UK where they seem to be under-appreciated. They have a very cool mid-century teak plinth often with an aluminium waistband. Very G-Plan and nothing like any Japanese decks. A nice one on ebay...
