I have the d-05u and I can't imagine things get much better. Previously owned a CEC TL51xr and an Arcam can't remember the model. It's miles ahead for me. Then again living in Japan it's priced reasonably here. Not heard audio note though.

Congratulations! It's a great player. I too can't imagine how it could be much better.

I haven't compared them but I have the d-05u and am very happy with it. It replaced a CEC TL51xr and sounds better by some distance IMO. The USB DAC option sounds fine too and the build quality is first class.
