I've read that a cable set for use with legacy pre-amps will be available for the new 250 Power amp
Yes seems like new cables and dongles/adapters will be available to allow compatibility between the generations of boxes.

Well our new (original seems to have gone on a walkabout within DPD) New Classic NAP 250 was delivered today
I do like the message from Naim Audio which is printed on the inside of the new Classic Series packaging -
Btw, I've not had the opportunity to compare New Classic 200 Series to the NAC 282, etc. however I can say that as I write this the New Classic NAP 250 and Sopra 2’s are sounding sublime

Thanks for the post, nice to read something positive in amongst the melee of sniping in here. Glad to hear the sound is good (no surprise there with Naim) and I too like the message enclosed. Wishing Naim and their dealers all the best with the new range.
If I’d dropped that much on a 222, I’d be asking my dealer to sort me out with cables gratis, and good ones. We’re in a recession and these are very much luxury items, so I’d imagine buyers are rare vs. a while back.
According to the thread over on Naim forum, people seem to have had a first listen ww.
Some even got their orders delivered instantly.
Thats a pretty impressive logistic performed in full secrecy up to release.
Salisbury must have had a busy 2022 manufacturing all these boxes, how many dealers to get a demo pair ? with the message to keep mouth shut until embargo release.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 300 serie is presented in Munich this year, maybe earlier.
It could be 333 streamer, 332 preamp with 300 mono's and already released 300 psu.

Do you mean new 222 streamer preamp or the upcoming new analog preamps ?
I believe some users prefer 52 to 252, but thats subjective.
There's even some that prefer 282 to 252.
I've hardly seen a scenario where everyones happy.
Obviously the one that people can listen to, the streamer pre-amp.

Seems pretty good value now I’ve looked at the alternatives considering many are suggesting that the 222 is closer to 252 in SQ.
NDX2/Nac252/SC/250 DR - £23k
NDX2/282/250DR - £16k
NSC222/NEW NAP250 - £11.4K
NDX2/SN3 - £11k
If these figures are too rich for many then there’s the XS and si series. They are no slouch.
Personally, I only buy used so I’ll have another look in about 5 years time.

Must have learned lessons from the atom launch, which was awful. I actually ordered one when first announced but after 6 months of waiting I cancelled and bought a rega brio and dac-r

I doubt it sounds better than any of ones above it or that that it’s a 252 level preamp inside, but the new 250 should be good. Funnily enough looking at first impressions from the 250 (much faster, very tight, dynamic..) reminds me of how Teddy Pardo amps and monoblocks sound(ed) relative to Naim and what people liked them for?

That would be sensationel if thats the outcome.
My guess 222 is closer to a 272, source unmentioned, but lets wait until the dust settled and what various PSU/cabling used is clear.

On top of this they had software failures and got a near instant price increase.
Sure they lost a massive amount of faith and customers by then.
