So gentle when he tries to understand.
Are you thinking of their awful looking turntable?I’m not always sure about the aesthetics of Mac gear.....

Just had a quick listen to Pharmakon - Abandon. I certainly never expected that!!

And now imagine it played through Kan MkIs !!!!
This is our little living room system with Ludo (mid-zoomie) providing some foreground interest. I think I need to spend a bit of time tidying the cables as well as putting the right hand speaker back into alignment (I think it was zoomied!).
The rug has a very hard life!
That turntable is not pretty... but the amps, in the right setting, can look very cool. Are you thinking of their awful looking turntable?
Nice system. That Maplin DAC is a remarkable little thing isn’t it? I’d usually raise an eyebrow at such a low cost DAC being used in a system such as yours, but not here, I bet it sounds great!
The so-called office system consists:
LP12/Kore/Lingo 1/Audiomods Classic (built from kit)/Metal bodied Denon 103
Nakamichi 600 cassette deck
Cambridge CXC CD Transport/Maplin DAC
Squeezebox Touch / Best of Two Worlds Booster Linear PSU
Naim NAC42.5/HiCap-TPR4
ZAP120 – homebuilt amplifier in Naim NAP120 case + frame transformer/Avondale NAP110 PSU/NAP250 boards
Linn Mk I Kans/LK20/Sound Organisation brackets.
I stream internet radio from the laptop via an M2tech hiFace Two into the Maplin DAC and it all sounds great.
The album on the Squeezepad btw, is Pharmakon - Abandon (Sacred Bones Records).
Class act.

I paid £7 for one around the same time as buying a Cambridge Audio Dacmagic Asur, I really didn’t like the Dacmagic Asur but the Maplin DAC was used in my office system (Linn Majik, LK100, active Katans) with an Apple TV for a couple of years for streaming duties, it was utterly enjoyable.I've got a couple of those Maplin DAC's being use in my kids systems and they are surprisingly decent. I think I paid a tenner for one of them as well.
Just sold my Maplin for £30. It was great with my Pi for a while. Love cheap stuff that does the business!I paid £7 for one around the same time as buying a Cambridge Audio Dacmagic Asur, I really didn’t like the Dacmagic Asur but the Maplin DAC was used in my office system (Linn Majik, LK100, active Katans) with an Apple TV for a couple of years for streaming duties, it was utterly enjoyable.
I've been putting together my system for the last three years or so, influenced over the last couple of years by this forum.
Before then I had a more basic Marantz CD/Integrated amp, Project Debut Carbon and a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze.
Tried a few tube amps but ended up going back to solid state.
This is where I'm up to:
Set up is:
Dynaudio Anniversary 40's with matching stands
Rega P3
Edwards Audio phono stage
Gato Dia 250s integrated amp (bought on this site)
Bluesound Node 2i
Yamaha KX 393 cassette deck
Sony CD 555eSD (bought on this site)
I think I'm there now, I do.
