Interesting source mudlark, recently went to Hythe and Dungeness to look at the sound mirrors.

I've done some studies on room acoustics and I find that 99.9% of people have no understanding of how sound works in a room. When this study was undertaken to understand how architects produce a building that has a pleasant acoustic, it was soon discovered that there is also a lack of understanding about acoustic environments in the architect world. The lack of a suitable or appropriate vocabulary being a notable omission.
