Better than me. I just gave away the last tree I interacted with as firewood. In my defence it was destroying a boundary fence and had to come down. It has a couple of siblings growing within a few feet that are not doing any damage so they are going to continue to give squirrels an escape route from the local cats!Big wood at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden this morning.

I posted this on the wine thread yesterday in a doomed attempt to broaden the discussion to include Richard Dawson and tree-spirits. I’m not sure anyone there even noticed. Between you and me, I’m not surprised. They’re a strange bunch - they were probably all watching that Finnish bloke cavorting about in his underwear waving fireworks. Anyway, I’ll put it here, where it probably should have been in the first place.
