I've always admired Bill Laswell and that whole creative early eighties NYC thing The first album is a really interesting listen - a bit like This Heat meet Herbie Hancock.

Getting quite difficult to find anything by them now, sadly.

I'm 2 tracks in - not heard any distortion yet on this copy, Mike... Was that a pair of tiny crackly short bursts towards the end of track 2? Yes 11.28 ish it's very short.

Sounds like you have a bad copy there. I'll clean mine again. There are some loud transients in track 1, which I'd want to play a bit louder to be confident...

Edit: Track one is fine. I have a 1/2 second burst of crackle on track 2 for defs. That's all.
