If Jesus turned up they'd probably shoot him because he wouldn't be spouting the utter bollocks these fundamentalist nutcases expect him to. They'd be looking for vindication and support of right-wing religious fascism and the hatred of others that they practice.

I would be fairly sure that Pence and Co will soon announce the Messiah is here... Here's a hint as to his identity: The Art of The Deal will replace The Bible, the casino will replace the church. Thus sayeth the Lord.

Recently discovered Dead Sea scrolls revealed a previously unknown fifth Gospel, the Book of Donald!
Chapter one begins, "Thou shalt not give a sucker an even break".
Biblical scholars, some of whom argue the actual age of the scroll as it is written in crayon on a greaseproof Big Mac wrapper, await further translations. Can anyone help?
 
Seems as if, the GOP members of the "Congressional Committee" are throwing their toys out of the pram big time over Bannon spending 10 hours before them and saying virtually nothing. Scuttlebutt is , Mueller waded in first and in the light of the farce over "Arms for the Contras" where congress screwed up criminal prosecutions has subpoenaed Bannon to say nothing without Mueller's clearance.
 
A threatened government shutdown over a lack of funds is not an infrequent occurrence in the US in recent years, but they never actually do it.

Trump is probably too stupid for any devious plans, but if he does have one, watch out for what happens tomorrow.
 
I think it may indeed happen this time. And I think Trump may indeed try to keep it from being started up again, except on his terms, which will be with some form of 'emergency powers....'

If I were the Dems, I wouldn't risk it.
 
If he does do it, it may be as simple as the fact that he'll love that it will keep him in the headlines and the centre of attention.

Everyone waiting to see what happens next. While Trump will be awaiting the opportunity to step in, do some imaginary deal and save the day.

Bad news people. I’ve just taken Trump’s cognitive test and got them all correct. I fear the bar is nowhere near high enough for a POTUS.
