I've been out and about enjoying the sun and frost and only just got round to looking at my photos, so apologies for posting several.

Wednesday around Scandale from Ambleside. I didn't take many at the top, it was too bloomin' cold to stop and mess about with a camera

Hi Tim, edited my post, yes , lovely place!

Agree Phil, one of my favourite places in the Dales and usually quiet. I like to walk from Austwick to around there, turn left and up Ingleborough past the ruined shooting hut and descend to Gaping Gill. Tea / beer in Clapham optional on the way down!

Wasn’t a soul there when we went 3 week ago. Our route was the reverse of yours, ascending from Gaping Gill. I absolutely loved the area, must try your way round next time, thanks Tim.

(Yes, a well earned tea/beer sounds great!)
