I can see I've got some swotting up to do . . .

For the first few days, set it to the green square and it will do everything for you except make the tea and will produce some large JPEGs to boot.

After that, you could do worse than check out the 350D forum at DP Review. I found it extremely useful. Careful though; photographers can be even more touchy then hi-fi owners
