LP12 subchassis - The 'RubiKon' #2

Yep - supplied by VdH (infamously so). If it is like the one AO supply then I would say it is a touch stiff but no worse than the one fitted to the ARO.

the AO cable is more flexable than the VDH
most linn dealers tell me the AO cable is IDEAL for linn springs as it is MORE flexable than the linn cables!!!:D

Hmm..interesting -I don't see it as much of a problem though if the AO is similar to the Linn; I will look into the VdH cable a little more but, whilst interesting, arm cables are outside the remit of the chassis design (as far as I can see).

Perhaps a cart that transmits the signal via sub chassis and the base board is the ultimate, or I have had too much Pinot Noir?

Just got back from a 400 mile round trip to visit the potential manufacturer. Once a sample of the finish and engraving/machining has been received I cant imagine using anyone else. These guys are good!

Have you set up a website to promote the chassis? I would love to see picture. Also what is the timeline for getting one shipped to the US?

Thanks!

Logo lettering will be in this style but most probably laser etched onto the armboard - very subtle.

I've just been doing a bit more work on the RubiKon for Aro (which now looks likely to appear sooner rather than later) and am pleased with a couple of tweaks that should prove worthwhile (including a nice touch I think to help isolate the armrest from the rest of the armboard :)).

I've also catered for potential fitting of the Aromatic but admit that I am very much in two minds with regard to this aspect - the Aromatic hasn't been made in so long and, even then, I've only ever fitted a couple - is it worth including?
