    Cheap class D powered speakers

They were my first ever speakers when I was a teenager. Cracking little things. Bloody loved 'em! Thanks for the lower impedance is better advice. :)

    Cheap class D powered speakers

LOL! :D They're for the tack room not the stables. It's like a second home from home during the summer. They'll be used for movies and music including pop, rock, classical and electronic dance. Pretty much everythng really from bass heavy rave music to light solo classical pieces. There's no...

    Cheap class D powered speakers

I think using a car amplifier connected directly to the 12v battery without needing an inverter would probably be the best option though. Can anyone recomend some compact two way speakers that would be suitable to use with a car amplifier?

    Cheap class D powered speakers

Yes they would be ideal. I actually sold a pair of DM5 speakers two years ago because I wasn't using them. They would be a bit overkill for what I need though. I would fell guilty using a pair of really nice hifi speakers in a horse tack room. I just want something that is cheapish and ok...

    Cheap class D powered speakers

M20s would be pushing the upper end of my budget but not totally out of the question. The Q Acoustics BT3 are much cheaper but I'm not sure if these are class D.

    Cheap class D powered speakers

Sounds like a good idea. Would it alright to use hifi speakers with a car amplifier though or would I need car speakers?

    Cheap class D powered speakers

Yes that would work. I would have to find someone who could supply a ready built one though as I wouldn't know how to do it myself.

    Cheap class D powered speakers

I want some cheap, preferably second hand, class D powered speakers. They must have energy efficient class D amplification rather than inefficient A/B amplification because they will be used off grid where the only source of power is a 12v battery with a mains inverter. The only cheap class D...

Really great customer service from NJC

Some of you may remember back in mid 2017 I bought a second hand NJC headphone amp from this forum NJC DAC from the HDDaudio forum . Unfortunately there was a problem with it having occasional intermittent cut-outs so I contacted NJC and asked them if they could take a look at it. I sent the...

    MDAC First Listen (part 00111010)

Please forgive my ignorance as I have not been following this thread. :) Does this MDAC have anything to do with Audiolab or do they just share the same name?

    Q Acoustics Speakers?

They're pleasant and easy to listen to for long periods. No treble harshness or sense that they're doing something wrong at the crossover frequencies like a lot other budget speakers do. Of course they're not massively detailed or clear but they're more then good enough and competitive with...
