+1 I had similar experience while using TDC.

You can also add SSD drive for OS. no need to store music on SSD. Since most of app will play from memory. I found Amarra better in my system. I tried AudioNirvana and puremusic, but like Amarra more.

it doesn't really matter. If you have good amount of hd space, use AIFF else Apple Lossless. I did not see any difference in SQ. I use AIFF, just to have peace of mind.

please have demo of whatever power supply you decided to use. I have TeddyDaulCap, which I bought after so many "Superb" reviews here on PFP. But it did not work quite well in my setup. I am not saying TDC is not worthy. Its just that in my setup it did not performed well.
