Very impressed. Unsurprisingly it's not as analytical or revealing as the Linn in any sense so there's something lost but I can't argue with its VFM as a budget system.

Cool, how are the Dyns sounding?

Very good I really like them. For such a small cabinet they are quite prodigious.

The only notable difference I picked up between the 2 units was the software and UI which was quite incredible given the relative costs of the Linn Majik vs Yamaha

It's probably reassuring from a vfm point of view that the Linn therefore outperforms the Yamaha? IME Linn kit although quite 'safe' in its presentation, has a trick up its sleeve in portraying detail that you kinda miss when you don't have it.
