XLR Female connector for speaker cable.

Can anyone recommend an XLR female connector so that I can connect my speakers cables to my Line Isobariks?

I have had some in the past but the cables being thick do not make it easy to solder the connector on and then utilise the sleeve, in fact I ended up cutting away much of the sleeve to get the cables sort of in. It lasted a few years but...

Any suggestions?

You can buy larger Neutrik bushings and strain reliefs to use in their connectors. Look for BXX-14, which handles cable diameters of 8-10mm. I got mine from Mouser, to accommodate the Mogami 3173 that I use in some of my balanced interconnects.

If you need something larger than that, then I suggest you change the Isobarik's connectors to Neutrik SpeakONs, which are much better for speaker cables.
