I am not sure the ‘P’ word is especially necessary in the case of some high end manufacturers.

There are high end manufacturers who will market a ‘novel solution’ to catch attention and accept the meagre performance, and there are other more grounded manufacturers who perfect a proven design to deliver a high performance goal.
