Why are the left such poe-faced humourless b*ggers?

TBL

I just wish you would get your act together because you are not coming across as very bright.

In your first posting you claim I am insecure and have an inferiority complex. Then in the very same paragraph you claim that I have a narcissistic view that I am better than everyone else. Make your mind up which way it is.

Then you go claim not to be interested in me (or not to give a shit about me, to use your own wording) and yet you write two postings to me within a few minutes and even compose a nice little pic. Are you interested in me or not. If you are not interested, just pretend I don't exist.

This is denoting a lack of intellect all round to be honest and then I end up feeling smug I am not like you.

Mick

Mick, I can feel a flounce coming on. Stay with it, ride the tidal wave of sewage coming toward you. It'll be ok.

Dec

The reason why I flounce is that it stops me losing my temper and calling unintelligent people rather rude names.

I am being very composed at the moment, but Gerald and the big one really do make it damn difficult.

Mick

+ 1 Mick's right wing fundamentalist rantings help lighten the day, Chris's as well sometimes.

In evidence, I point to the PFM poliburo's responses to a light-herated post on the reduction in crime figures.

Chris

It's a fine line between light hearted & empty hearted. Especially for pfm's schutzstaffel.

Yes to be honest, we are probably all three. You have to be selfish and greedy if you want to carve out a career that pays well for nearly 50 years and rakes in a good pension.

I agree being smug is a bit nauseous, but when you have done reasonably well and your opponents are living a shit existence, it is hard not to be smug.

I shall try to be less smug but I like being greedy and selfish, always have and always will.

I dread to think how much Mystic Meg charged Mick for that foresight.

Chris,

You do realise that most professional comedian's political views are decidedly left of centre? Live at the Apollo isn't a right-wing documentary.

Mick,

Being selfish and greedy was fine by me too, until I had kids. I put them before everything now and so the selfish thing has obviously left me, although you might argue I am still not clear. I worry about planet resource for them and for their kids, so the greed thing has diminished too. The more of you and Mescalito there are, the sooner we will be extinct. It is inevitable so I should join you in grabbing whatever I can for myself now and bugger the consequences.

A lot of people on the right want goodies but don't want to flaunt them. I have just bought a nice rolex after very good advice from this forum, but it is the most discreet watch you can imagine.

Not one single person in my family (other than Mrs Mick) even knows I have it and yet I wear it all the time. None of my friends know about it either. I have it and that is good enough for me.

Anyone want to see my 1960s all gold Omega?

Maybe we should start another thread that asks why the right always end up being at least one of the following:

smug
selfish
greedy

Because whatever answer the right give, all the left do say is you are smug, selfish, greedy.....

The same applies to the RCM I have just bought, I won't mention it to anyone in my social circle.

So the flaunting sneer is not correct.

And there was me thinking that telling a forum about the expensive watch one has just bought was flaunting one's wealth.

Silly me, what was I thinking?

I used to know a leftie. Terrible (imo) inferiority complex but despite that not too po-faced, particularly after a few beers.

You misunderstand.

PS I am still driving a 12 year old Honda Civic - how's that for flaunt value

The idea that mention of owning a record cleaning machine might be construed as flaunting one's wealth made me laugh so much I spilled my whisky.

In my social circle it'd be regarded as a sign of advanced OCD:)

I'm (apparently) a pinko-lefty and I think my record cleaner cost more than chavvy Mick's.

You children could do with a period of reflection.

Most of you wouldn't have a bean were it not for the 'socialists', who fought for the votes, the NHS, the human rights, etc., etc, which you are so fond of denigrating.

Wait till they're all gone, then see how much traction being a 'loyal' Tory actually gets you. The 'proper' rich folk couldn't give a flying **** about the likes of Mick and Mescalito.
