Unfortunately it is proving impossible to avoid overpopulated areas, ever been to the Peak District on a weekend?Interesting vid.
I agree that cars have/had far too high a share of the space between buildings.
High density and speed of motorised vehicles leads to unappealing places - as demonstrated by Tiggers' linked vid . Of course an E-scooter is a sort of motorised vehicle, but it's on a more human scale.
My policy is generally to avoid over-populated and over-congested places.

You just more people from Leeds in the NYM which is a major problemNot for many years. I would choose the NYM or Dales in preference - fewer Mankys and Brummies there

Your grasp of geography seems rather weak.Says the guy who almost lives in Nottinghamshire.
Sheffield is not much more than 20 miles from the Notts county line. It's closer to Derbyshire, but Notts is more downmarket, so I thought it a better fit.Your grasp of geography seems rather weak.
Again a lack of understanding.Sheffield is not much more than 20 miles from the Notts county line. It's closer to Derbyshire, but Notts is more downmarket, so I thought it a better fit.
