What pre for budget active speakers?

Got some M-Audio AV30 active monitors for a very budget system, but need a cheapo pre to remotely switch up to 4 line level sources and control volume.

Sources are are nothing refined, DVD player, analogue Macbook, iPod and TV.

One box, compact. S/H fine. budget about 120gbp although less would be better.

Any suggestions?

Is remotely that important?

I'd put a blue alps pot and a seiden switch in a plastic box if I were you. A passive pre is a pretty easy DIY kit.

If you must have remote, Alps blue is also available motorised.

If you have more cash, I'd put a basic stepped attenuator in the box instead of the alps blue.

some things on ebay are just ridiculously cheap. This one is worth it just for the box and sockets!
