What do you think about the finish on this 1210?

That's the one thing I hate about those Technicses. Looks quite nice to me. But no strobe? Not necessary with external PSU?

It a difficult task making a 1210 look worse, but this chap has managed it, kudos!

That’s a shame, I’d have thought they had a fabulous sense of humour. Lighten up, it’s not exactly a traditional refurbishment is it? I’d be amazed if the owner wasn’t expecting a few digs and jokes along the way.
Personally I’d have kept the pitch controller and strobe light.
Or veneered the platter

The finish itself, for me, is a big improvement! ( ignoring the comments on missing parts )
Obviously it was meant to be a pro tool but put it in the home and it normally looks shyte IMHO.
I really dislike black or silver decks without any woodlike relief.
The only exceptions to my eyes are the Michells and Oracles.
This one makes me think of the old Dual CS5000.
