Proof reading not always a strength
I have all three on vinyl. They are all good, but my favourite of the three is Ocean the Trio with Gerald Clayton and Anthony Wilson. At times quieter and more introspective than the other two sets, but with a lot of reference to jazz roots as well free passages. Have a stream of this one if you haven’t heard it yet.
Thanks - I had a proper listen this afternoon - I'd only dipped in previously. It is very good indeed.
I then played the final trio - Sacred Thread - and was a bit less taken with it. I usually love Julian Lage's guitar playing but that and Lloyd's playing seemed to get a bit swamped by the tablas and vocals. I'll give than one another go later.
