The 50th anniv issue of Can’t Buy A Thrill. (The Geffen pressing remastered by Grundman). What a great album. Dan in their pop phase. Not compared to my original (which is actually a UK 74 repress I think). But this sounds just about perfect.

Arrived this morning from Presto.

Ha! Fooled you - this is the CD. I thought I’d give it a whirl while Jack is busy in Detroit stamping my vinyl copy for collection next week. I thought I only knew the title track, but it all sounds familiar. Must be by osmosis from hours upon hours of listening to FMlJ. Sounds pretty good to me - a little top-light, and some occasional peak distortion on the piano - but perhaps my ears are old and scrambled ( B. Eno.)
