A Dreamers Christmas by John Zorn. What better time to listen to a Christmas album? Well, tomorrow and Tuesday of course, so I’ll be doing it then as well. And what better Christmas album than one played by Ribot, Saft, Dunn, Baron et al? It’s terrific. Even Mike Patton’s take on The Christmas Song is completely straight.

I haven’t listened to any music indoors for over three weeks. The Pi + Genelecs certainly give a different presentation to my living room Tannoys, but the near-field nature means I hear a few things I haven’t before. Obviously there is a rather significant bottom end loss, but I have no complaints.
