Lucky Peterson, "Tribute to Jimmy Smith" -- fun and funky. this is also quite a live-sounding recording -- curious if others have heard it and found it bright or just right. (it's the latter for me.)
Pärson Sound. Stumbled on them through Julian Cope’s site and listening via Spotify. Swedish band from the mid-60’s who had obviously heard the same things and come to similar conclusions as Amon Düül, Beefheart and the Velvet Underground. Rather extraordinary.
The Smiths, The Queen is Dead, the demo disk from the new reissue. Fascinating stuff and may I be quite so bold to suggest one or two of the demos are better than the final versions?
