I've bought this convertor and it played well the first evening and sounded lovely, transformed my system in fact. Unfortunately the next day there was silence. I tried it with a laptop and an Rpi and it works fine so I think something has happened to the Vortexbox settings. I plugged in a new MF dac in between to compare, so I wonder if another USB dac can make the Vortexbox change anything?
I've played around with the output settings and the player works, the DAC picks up the correct resolution settings from the file, so there's an output, but it's silent. I've obviously checked the volume level in the player and LMS.
I've also gone into the Alsa mixer in Linux to check the volume level, and tried various output settings from the list of attached USB devices (default, sysdefault etc as well as hw:0,0 which worked the day before) to see if it helps, but nothing can get it to output sound.
Have plugged my old dac in again and it all sounds fine.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be most grateful. Thanks
