Very near to the wall speaker recommendations

I never understood why there are so few wall mounting designs, especially medium sized or more.
A Linton sized speaker wall mounted, maybe flattened even more, has to be much more domestically acceptable than a floorstander tower a meter from the wall.
With a lot less baffle step correction, the efficiency would be very good.

My recommendations (in price order) would be:
  • Dali Zensor Pico (don't scoff at how cheap these are, they're brilliant)
  • Dali Menuet (as an upgrade to the above)
  • ProAc Tablette
Best wishes on your hunt!

I would suggest the modern Rega Kytes as they work well close to the wall and the fullness in sound belies their size. They would have to go on stands, so wouldn’t look much different to a pair of Kans or LS3/5a’s, so that would likely rule them out. I’d therefore suggest a pair of Rega RS3’s, with the side firing bass drivers which might give enough flexibility to work well across a narrow space.

Kytes do need frontgrills for aesthetic acceptance
I don't care(they sound great, agreed) but some won't have such (WAF/baby fingers) looking things as Kef LS50 or new Rega Kyte in their living room
We can travel to the moon but nobody seem to make grills for certain speakers o_O
