Valve Preamps with balanced in and out?

Jeff Rowland is another possibility, although I don't know 2nd hand prices these days.
I also don't want to rob business from my mate GT! :)

Hi Greg,

If you can get away with one pair of balanced inputs & one pair of balanced outputs, the you should find that a 2nd hand EAR 864 Pre amp should be within your budget.

Hi Allan

Mine doesnt have remote, BUT I believe the newer ones may have.

Apologies, I have no idea what the impedence values are/would be.

The best I can do is:

Now known as the Pure Black 101. Im told that if Melody could improve their "business model" they would be far more successful. I dont even know if there are any uk distributors left!

That's a good suggestion, Dean. I heard an 864 in a system a few years ago. I can't recall the whole, but I wasn't smitten. I know a pair of Dalis were involved. May not have been anything due to the preamp though. Certainly worth considering.

Impressive kit, but ugly as sin :)

Yeah - pity as most of the rest of the Manley stuff does that borderline pretty yet functional thing, like Joe's Stingray.

I've never seen any come up second hand in the UK either.
