I think I still have my university library card. It had holes punched in it, and the photo has to be seen to be believed. But I was a bit anarchic in 1976…..

Were the holes for voting in union elections?

It certainly is! I still have a first edition of the classic Lewis (as in Lewis dot structures of covalent bonds) & Randall, Thermodynamics from 1922 but I left most of my books behind when I retired. It's the 100th anniversay!
