Well it seems that God wants to make this trip a proper test for the Cross Climates as it is properly pissing down with rain at the moment, so looks like it's going to be a very wet drive up into the Cairngorms this evening!

I am quite impressed with the Cross Climates so far. They inspired a lot of confidence in some very wet conditions (with a lot of standing water) when coming over the Cairngorms last night (and I was surprised to match my normal dry weather time from Tomintoul to Edinburgh as well), but they felt like a normal summer tyre in drier conditions on the way up on Friday night.

In the medium to long term, individual ownership of cars will become increasingly rare. A-EVs (Autonomous Electric Vehicles), available on demand, will become the norm, in cities to start with and expanding from there. Interesting piece by PWC here:
