Tweeter issue with Ruark Talisman

I am getting the wrong sound from my left tweeter. They have protective metal mesh domes and the one on the left is fouling the tweeter itself affecting the sound. Someone must have prodded it when I was'nt looking...grrrrrrr.

It clears if I squeeze the metal mesh in but after a while it returns.

Happy to dismantle the tweeter if it can be fixed. But I don't want to fatally damage it.

Has anyone any ideas ??

Some speakers use magnetism to hold these mesh domes in place, so they can be carefully lifted off

Remove the tweeter from the cabinet.

Remove the faceplate screws and carefully separate the face plate and grille from the magnet. The dome assembly might come away with the faceplate, in which case carefully separate them.

Now you can properly push the mesh back out to it's correct shape.

In which case don't tear the lead out wires....
