Thought any of you Reggae fans like me might like a peep. The Dub interests me.

Hi!
I don't think I've heard of any of the artists you mention, cos I am from an earlier time!

I do however have a rather nice 'Box set' reissue of the classic late 60s/early 70s 'Tighten Up' vinyl albums....

Which is nice.

Thanks for that you may like http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00005UBK5/?tag=pinkfishmedia-21

Was there anyone else who listen to John Peel through the late 70's with there tape recorder on pause waiting for the reggae tracks he played he generally played two.

I still have a treasured tape from the sounds of the seventies. For some reason John peel did not do some of his shows in 1978 a chap named Mark who also did whistle test. His surname escapes me at the moment. Did his show for him. It was on these shows that I recorded for me the best ever for me BBC sessions . One was Steel pulse doing Klu klux klan/ Prodigal Son son/ two others no horrible synthesizer overdubs. This treasured session complete with tape hiss has been round the houses. Been transferred from reel to reel to cassette then later to CD. The Twinkle Brothers one was brilliant to i might add.

I hoped these live sessions would have made it to CD in there entirety.

Hi Nightcleaner,

The Trojan box sets are pretty good, but what I've been enjoying more from that stable are the Trojan Dub Massive remixes by Bill Laswell. Really good work I reckon.

Cheers, Jens

Trojan Originals is the only one I've got. Had it years but bizzarely its in the player at home right now. Weird!!!!

Great three disc set. The original recordings of 50+ reggae songs covered (ruined?) since by contemporary artistes.
