Pretty grim news for Wiggins, happens to a lot of ex sportsmen, the tax man comes knocking.

Seems to be related to the Wiggins team debts rather than his personal money. It looks like the accountants have failed to protect him!

Seriously though, having had backing from British Cycling, Sky, Pinarello, Rapha, and the likes of Owain Doull, Ben Healy, and Tom Pidcock on their roster and getting plenty of race invites, seems quite the **** up for Team Wiggins after the jiffy bag story.

From a quick skim it seems to relate to a directors loan that was made to him from the company and not paid back, which is why it's spun out into his personal finances.

There's money on offer apparently for tip offs regarding mechanical doping but not for the medicinal kind - they don't control who gets the motors. Hypocrites...

Did Cav just about get home within the allocated time limit? He was slipping a long way behind on the hills in the earlier part of the stage ……. Pretty good recovery if he did.

I think that he made the cut and has tonight to recover. Another tough day in the mountains and he ne ed s to survive that too. There are a few sprint stages next week, hopefully he will be well for them.

Wow what a start and so pleased for France given their anonymity for several years. I thought it was over with 20km to go and punched the air when Bardot and VdB made it across the line. The guys we’ve all waited to watch have plenty of other days to shine.
