Tisbury passive pre amp

Hi folks!
I have seen many Tisbury passive pre’s come and go through the classifieds here.
Are they decent enough or have people found them to be wanting?
I know the Khozmo has a strong following.

Thanks

I had one before my Khozmo, if your taking a first step into the world of passive pres it's an excellent place to start imo. My biggest gripe was there weren't enough steps in the attenuator so the volume you actually wanted inevitably ended up being halfway between two steps. What was useful was the second output could be set to be attenuator controlled like the first or line through which made hooking up my Leak ST20 & a headphone amp easy.

I had a Khozmo before I bought my actives and then bought a Tisbury for use in a second system. The Khozmo had a much better range of volume and better balance at low volumes but the Tisbury is incredible value, especially used, and works really well with my Quad 303.
