Time has come to post me ESL57's. Recomendations please

ian r

401's Nakman
After my claim has finally been settled I now have to pack them up and send to One Thing Audio's man for repair

I have the boxes

What courier?

Insurance to pay for that as well

finally

But if they are damaged in transit then Insurance will have to pay for that as well

so no need to go hi end or away from parcel Force

UPS seem to have a better reputation, according to one dealer who sends ESLs on occasions.

Mine just came back from OTA via Paul at Classique Sounds. He used Parcelforce and they arrived safely.

Thanks jo

Simeon Oh thats good to know. Did you or he provide the boxes

mine are the originals from 1964 and 67 respectively! I will use them with reinforcements of one sort or another - I believe they rent boxes ..

Ian, Paul at Classique Sounds provided the boxes. Give him a call, he's a really helpful guy. Mine are from 1958 which never fails to astonish me.

As ever I failed to explain fully - I have the original boxes from those years so dont need to hire the new ones ... however are they still £30 to hire?

Ah, yes, I remember now, from another thread. Sorry, Ian, I don't know - I bought some just in case I need them at some time.
