Third World Man; the best of the best of The Dan, surely?

Although I've always preferred Aja as an album versus Gaucho, Third World Man is imo, the best of the best. :)

Perhaps I should have said although Aja is a better album than Gaucho (imo, but not by much), the best track of either is (imo), is Third World Man. If these two albums are Steely Dan's best, then Third World Man is the best of the best :D

All of there albums are great, but gaucho and aja have the sound quality right , but yes third world man is a cracking track, I also like don't take me alive and with a gun,
there is not a bad track on both aja and gaucho.

Now, if I were to have to choose, it would be a tough call between Aja and The Royal Scam.

Yes, Gaucho is good, damn good, but...

Both Aja and Gaucho are excellent with not a bad track on either. My own personal favourite is Babylon sisters. I just love that intro lyric "Drive west on Sunset..........". It kind of encapsulates the whole thing for me.
Just going to put both on now.
