One artist I like is Shitmat (now defunct)

I have 2 classics, Shitmat vs. Rolf (Harris) 2003 version that became
'Shitmat Presents ... The Rolf Harris Mashup CD (2006)' This is a challenging funny album.

I also have 'Hang The D.J.' (2006) which again is marvelous in its own way.

Similiar to V/VM in some respects, maybe a tad softer...

Certainly not - although there is a great deal of humour at work here. This type of extreme music gets filtered into all kinds of more mainstream material Breakcore influences are all over Aphex Twin's 'Drukqs' and 'Richard D James' albums, albeit in a far more digestible form.

I can take or leave a lot of Venetian Snares but I found my Snares Man 7" the other day and had forgotten how great it sounds. Probably my all time favourite ragga-jungle-accordion mashup
