Fargo has to be one of my all time favourites but if you like animated, there's a great surreal Japanese film called Howl's Moving Castle and also Belleville Rendezvous, quirky french black comedy with no dialogue but great music.
Ahh, also Cinema Paradiso - charming little Italian film.
 
If i can have a "i HOPE its cool when it comes out reply" then I'm waiting for Ex Machina

Saw Ex Machina last Saturday, excellent film.

As for "being cool". Well the location and building where it's shot are very cool.

wow, I'm heartened that many of you appreciate our fine niu zild product. particularly Bad Taste! I watched the Quiet Earth recently, still good stuff.

oh, and back on the niu zild front - who's seen "Goodbye Pork Pie"? Worth a look, surely.
 
I don't know about these as "cool" movies, but I love most of Wes Anderson's films, the latest Grand Budapest Hotel was good in so many ways. Guess his style matches my crazy sense of humor.
