Indeed it is. What Alan doesn't know about R2R isn't worth knowing. He has sorted my Tascam on more than one occasion.

I have a piece of kit that i have owmed for many years that i thought may be resigned to the loft as a static display. Alan not only diagnosed the fault but practically rebuilt it to get it working.

To save me from having to resort to google, what are R2R and Tascam? Do they have anything to do with hifi?

R2R = reel to reel

Tascam is the semi-pro variant of Teac: so yes,hi-fi related methinks!

R2R is wot us old buqqers used to use in the days before them new-fangled Compact Cassettes came on the scene........
